Swim Smooth is a unique swim stroke correction program, specifically for triathletes and long-distance open water swimmers, which aims to provide you with a program that caters to your ability and your level of understanding
of the freestyle stroke. We do not adopt a "cookie cutter" methodology. Whilst we use a structured "model of efficiency" in our Clinics and for individual work, the real beauty of our approach is that we question "yes, this is all well and good in theory, but what does it mean for you?. How can we best
apply this technique for you, given your attributes and your training history?" You don't have to live in sunny Perth, Western Australia to benefit from The TEAM CORE's exemplary coaching practices - now you too can be coached online ANYWHERE in the world! Utilising industry-leading online
software by the Training Peaks / Peaksware Group! Triathlon, its an individual sport, right? A contest of the body, mind and soul over a continuous event of the 3 contributing disciplines - swim, cycle and run. Its you against the clock; against your opponents. But what
is it that you love about this great sport? Is it the kinship and the shared passion that you and your fellow training buddies hold? Is it the knowledge that to get the results you desire, and just as importantly, to maintain your enjoyment of this sport, you need the "Three C's...
The Swim Smooth Clinic is a theory and practical based workshop which includes group under water & surface videography and subsequent analysis to help you improve your swimming efficiency. The courses typically run
from 9:00am to 6:00pm and are suitable for any swimmer capable of completing 200m continuous freestyle and looking to improve their technique and speed. The practical sessions themselves are very low-key in terms of intensity and as such will suit a broad spectrum of triathletes and swimmers capable of completing 1500m
in
45 mins and faster. The Wetronome is a superb piece of equipment which every triathlete and swimmer should have as part of their kit bag. The small yellow wand (pictured left, and right of the two objects) allows the user to easily adjust
and set the rhythmical audible Wetronome (larger object on left) in 1 beat per minute (bpm) increments from 10 to 300bpm. The Wetronome is then placed underneath your swimming cap or goggle strap close to the ear, so that when you commence swimming the audible beeps indicate when you should be taking your next stroke. This
tool becomes invaluable when teaching the importance of stroke rate and speed pacing, allowing the user to become much more aware of rhythmical efficiency.
