Nelson Woss:
In the Oxford English Dictionary under the words "animal", "machine" and "driven" you will repeatedly see the name "Nelson Woss". This is not a misprint. Nelson joined The TEAM CORE in February 2007 and his been a fundamental part of the TEAM ever-since. Often seen as a little "lazy" in training, DO NOT BE FOOLED! When this guys wants to move, he can really shift! Nelson easily posted a sub-5hr Half Ironman last May at his first-ever Half Ironman event and we hope he'll be back soon after a hernia operation, which we wish him a speedy recovery from!
Paul Newsome:
Paul Newsome cannot now believe that he has been involved in triathlon for over half of his entire life! Still well under 30 years of age (so he reminds us!), this athlete has been competing in triathlons since 1994 and prior to that competed as a swimmer since the tender age of just seven. Paul's "heyday" (which he's all too happy to remind you of..."the older I get, the better I was...!") was back in the late 90s / 2000 when he was part of the British World Class Performance Program at the University of Bath. Sadly, the years since then have not been too kind (!) and now Paul's attention is directed towards helping others achieve their goals. Paul can still be seen occassionally plodding up and down a triathlon circuit, but more regularly recalling stories from the "old days" (all of which should be taken with a pinch of salt!). Paul is the founder of both The TEAM CORE and Swim Smooth.
