The TEAM CORE Athlete Profiles

Diane Calderon:

Besides being a member of The TEAM CORE's coaching group, Diane is also a super-speedy triathlete herself and is very competitive in her age-group in the USA over the Half and Full Ironman distances. Diane first met Paul Newsome at the USA Triathlon Coaching Congress in January 2007 where they struck up a friendship and also coach-athlete relationship. Paul coaches Diane using the unique TEAM CORE Online Training Log and coverses almost daily on either the phone, Skype or via email. This season's goal: get to and race the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in Kona!

Duncan Hough:

Duncan Hough is one of the most senior triathlon sporting officials in the UK and recently won the BTF Referee of the Year Award for his commitment and dedication to his role. Duncan and Paul first "met" through the online training discussion forum of TRI TALK based in the UK, and then subsequently worked together on numerous Swim Smooth Coaching Clinics in the Midlands area. Duncan is strongly committed to the development of the Birmingham Running and Triathlon Club (codenamed "BRAT") where he himself coaches on a regular basis. Paul has been directly assisting with Duncan's program for approximately 12 months now and will continue to aid his return to dominance in his age category over the Olympic Distance.
